The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) celebrated it’s 25th year anniversary in October 2025. First held at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) in 2001, G2E came into existence after GEM Communications’ World Gaming Congress & Expo (WGCE) failed to renew its contract with the American Gaming Association (AGA) to hold the conference. AGA decided to strike out on its own and created G2E. It moved the venue to what was used to be known as the Sands Expo and Convention center in 2010. Now called the Venetian Expo and Convention Center, it has been the venue for G2E ever since.
